HISTORY
Caroline Williams, the siter of Josephine Williams, gave the land and Pastor Hackney lead the first building program which resulted in the first church building. The Second building, build during the pastorate of Rev. J.H. Caldwell. Third building completed under the pastorate of Rev. C.P. Bailey.
New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is located about twelve miles south of Durham, North Carolina, just one-half mile off Old Fayetteville Road (now NC Highway 751). The congregation has worshipped in four different buildings, all located on the site of the present church. New Hope is a proud member of the New Hope Association, which was founded within it walls.
The plot of land on which the church now stands was given by the late Ms. Carolyn Williams, sister of the late Josephine Williams, and Mathew Mitchell. The land was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Collie Mack Sears for the parking lot in 1996.
