Matthew 25:35 (NIV) "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in..."

Today was another blessed day as we were able to continue our ongoing donations towards the food bank at Pilgrim Baptist Church. In turn, they blessed us by sharing their abundance of frozen foods with us. Our very own, Mrs. Betty Cole, graciously donated a freezer that can now be used to hold those items.

New Hope is thankful for having been blessed to be a blessing once again!

II Corinthians 9:7 (KJV) “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver”

During this Christmas season, our New Hope family was blessed to be able to give to families in need with our annual Angel Tree initiative. We were also blessed with the generous donation of 8 bikes by a friend of New Hope who wanted to support the families as well.

Pastor Gary Brown prayed over the gifts yesterday, and the three truckloads of gifts and the bikes have all been delivered today. We truly thank God for blessing us to be able to be a blessing to so many!

August 31st was a very blessed F.I.S.H.ing Sunday (Fellowship-Invite-Share-Help others to see the love of Jesus), and our theme was "Bring A Friend".

Pastor Brown delivered a very powerful message, "What We Go After" from Jeremiah 2:1-13, and we had a great time in fellowship with all of our new and returning visitors.

You are invited to come and experience our 4th Annual Spiritual Retreat starting on Friday, September 19 at 6 pm through 12 pm Saturday, September 20. As we break away from the daily hustle and bustle of life, we will dive deep into a closer encounter with the Lord through a series of activities, workshops, group discussions, spiritual discipline practices and fellowship. This year we will take deep dives into the disciplines of confession, gratitude and sacrificial giving. Our guest facilitators include Minister Montez Williams and our own Minister Cecelia Horton.

The purpose of the retreat is to provide an opportunity for disciples at New Hope to take a bigger step in their spiritual growth and development and in their walk with Jesus. Each day, you will be fed both physically and spiritually and we hope that you will leave inspired and excited to grow deeper in your relationship with Father, Son and Holy Spirit and equip you for the work He has called you to.
